Recipe: Disney Springs’ Love Potion
It’s like a fruity root beer float, if we’re being honest.
February is the month of love and Vivoli il Gelato located in Disney Springs knows how to celebrate it: a seasonal gelato drink. While it would fill the heart with much more joy to be drinking it in Orlando, Florida, we’re unfortunately stuck in the north and thinking of our favorite place. Love Potion
Yields 1 serving
Ingredients:
Strawberry Fanta
Vanilla Gelato
Whipped Cream
Ice (optional)
Red Sprinkles (optional)
Rainbow Lollipop (optional if you’re feeling fancy)
Instructions:
Fill the glass ⅓ with ice.
Add 2-3 scoops of vanilla gelato to the glass.
Pour Strawberry Fanta and leave about an inch at the top.
Add whipped cream and any garnishes.
Takeaway:
If you like strawberry and cream flavors, this is the drink for you. It was a sweet treat that would be equivalent to a dessert. I wasn’t able to find vanilla gelato at my local grocery store so I substituted it with a vanilla soft-serve. The first time I made it, I added the Fanta first, then the ice cream and then tried to stir it with a straw to mix it. This caused it to explode and made a large mess, so I definitely recommend scooping the gelato first and avoid stirring it.
