Drink Recipe: Oga’s Cantina’s Dagobah Slug Slinger

Make your favorite Cantina cocktails at home!
If you’ve had the Dagobah Slug Slinger at Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge, you know how good it is and you’ll definitely want to make it again at home. This beautiful green drink will remind you of the Cantina even when you’re not at Disney! This recipe does take a couple hours to make since you make the Dagobah syrup from scratch, but it is worth the wait!
Dagobah Slug Slinger

Yields one cocktail
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
2 ounces fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
Zest from half a grapefruit
2 3-inch long sprigs of fresh rosemary
1 ½ ounces tequila
4 ounces freshly squeezed and strained grapefruit juice
1 ounce Dagobah syrup
1 ounce orange juice
¼ ounce lime juice
¼ ounce blue Curaçao
2 dashes bitters
1 sprig of rosemary to garnish
Make the Dagobah Syrup
Add sugar and water to a small saucepan.
Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
Stir in the ginger and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in the grapefruit zest and rosemary.
Cover and steep for 1-2 hours.
Strain into a container with a lid for future storage.
Make the Cocktail
Fill a glass with ice.
Add tequila, grapefruit juice, Dagobah syrup, orange juice, lime juice, and blue Curaçao.
Add two dashes of bitters and stir together.
Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and enjoy!
Make sure you have enough time up-front before attempting this recipe! It takes at least an hour to make the syrup due to the steeping time. But once you make time, it is totally worth it! This cocktail turned out amazing. It has a fruity tropical flavor and kind of tastes like an alcoholic sour patch kid. The syrup will make enough for 12-16 servings so you can save it if you have extra. It will be good in the fridge for about a month in a sealed container.
