Drink Recipe: Bubbles of the Sea

Updated: Jul 8, 2023

Life is the bubbles under the sea!

One of the new drinks offered at the parks to celebrate the release of the live-action The Little Mermaid is the Bubbles of the Sea. This drink combines sweet green tea, lemon juice, pineapple, guava, and green apple boba pearls. It also has a fun shimmer that comes from edible glitter. If you’re looking for a sweet refreshing drink on a hot summer day, this is the one for you! If you’re in the parks, you can find it at Fairfax Fare in Hollywood Studios, and if not you can try our recipe to make it at home!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass with ice.

  2. Add a sprinkle of edible glitter.

  3. Add green tea, lemon juice, pineapple syrup, and guava syrup.

  4. Top with green apple boba pearls and enjoy!

Takeaway

This drink tastes really good! It is pretty syrupy and sweet, so you could cut down the amount of syrup you add if you don’t like overly sweet drinks. I wasn’t able to find Gold Peak sweet green tea at my store so I substituted Lipton green tea citrus and it worked well. The only problem that I had with this drink was that the boba pearls fell to the bottom of the drink instead of staying on top of the ice like in the Disney version. I think you may be able to solve this by using smaller sized ice cubes or crushed ice, but I didn’t have that available. I’m also not sure where the purple color of Disney’s version comes from — maybe a different color guava syrup? All in all, the drink was very enjoyable even if it didn’t look exactly right.
