Recipe: The Flame Cocktail

Fruity, salty, and the perfect amount of sweetness!


The flame is one of three drinks in the Valentine’s Day “A Toast to Love” flight at Lamplight Lounge on Pixar Pier alongside the “The Ex” and “The Love that Lasts a Lifetime.”



The Flame 

Yields 2 servings 


Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces raspberry vodka or rum

  • 2 ounce peach schnapps 

  • 3 ounces mango juice 

  • Sparkling water (to top off)

  • Tajin (for the rim) 


Instructions: 

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka/rum and peach schnapps. Shake thoroughly. 

  2. Add mango juice and raspberry purée/syrup. Shake again and set aside.

  3. Rim the glass with simple syrup and then dip into a pile of Tajin.

  4. Pour mixture into prepared glass and enjoy!


Takeaway:

With no recipe, I had to bring out my inner mixologist. I like a drink on the sweeter side, so you may need to adjust the proportions for your liking. But this was absolutely delightful! Fruity and tropical and just sweet enough. The sweetness is cut slightly by the salty Tajin rim and alcohol, and most importantly, it’s pretty in pink!
