Drink Recipe: Divinely Diabolical Milkshake

Updated: Jul 8, 2023

Make Magic Kingdom’s newest The Little Mermaid dessert at home.

With Disney’s new live-action The Little Mermaid in theaters now, the parks are getting some fun new, themed foods to go along with the release. We were excited to see our favorite sea witch featured in some of the new menu items, like the Divinely Diabolical milkshake sold at The Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom. The purple shake is a Ursula-themed take on a cookies and cream shake — so if you can’t get to Magic Kingdom to try it, here’s how to recreate it at home.

Divinely Diabolical Milkshake

Divinely Diabolical Milkshake

Yields 1 shake

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Add cookies and cream ice cream and milk to a blender. Blend until smooth.

  2. To make the purple whip cream, combine the whipped cream with 3 drops of pink food coloring and 2 drops of blue food coloring. Adjust as needed.

  3. If using chocolate syrup, drizzle it around the inside of the milkshake glass. Pour the milkshake, top with purple whipped cream and sprinkles.

Takeaway:

This milkshake really is just a basic cookies and cream milkshake — but there’s nothing wrong with that! The one thing we’d recommend is to add the chocolate syrup drizzle just before you’re about to pour the milkshake in. If you add it to the glass beforehand, it will all sink to the bottom by the time you add the milkshake, so the first few sips will be extra chocolatey instead of evenly distributing it throughout the shake. All in all, it’s a great summer treat!
