Drink Recipe: Oga’s Cantina Blurrgfire

A sweet and spicy beverage for smugglers of all ages.
Blurrgfire is a nonalcoholic drink created by an Oga’s Cantina bartender who was on the mission to replicate the sour, sweet, and spicy zing of a citrom fruit. This fruit can be found on many planets of the galaxy, but doesn't stay fresh for long. Rumor has it, galactic travelers are impressed as the flavor is spot on.
Blurrgfire
Yields 1 mocktail
Ingredients:
8 ounces lemonade
4 ounces pomegranate juice
½ ounce habanero lime syrup
1 lime
Ice
Instructions:
Use a lime wedge to rim the 16 oz. glass and roll the rim in Tajin seasoning.
Add ice, lemonade, pomegranate juice, and habanero lime syrup to a shaker and shake to combine.
Add ice to the glass, filling halfway.
Strain the beverage over the ice.
Garnish the rim with a lime slice.
Takeaway:
This was the first time I had this drink and I was pleasantly surprised. Although I typically like spicy food, I was hesitant about the habanero lime syrup. The syrup itself isn't as spicy as I thought it would be and is mostly sweet. The syrup and Tajin seasoning add a nice kick to an otherwise sweet and sour beverage. It’s refreshing and easy to make.
