Updated: May 15

David’s Vacation Club Rentals is the best-kept secret at Disney World.

If you want to stay on Disney property, but are also looking to save some money on your Disney vacation (who isn’t?), then you seriously need to look into David’s Vacation Club Rentals. You’ve probably heard of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC), but did you know you could stay in a DVC room without being a member? Enter David’s Vacation Club Rentals.

What is David’s Vacation Club Rentals?

Disney Vacation Club members can own timeshares at Disney World — they’re called Deluxe Villas and you can choose from studios, one bedroom, two bedroom, or three bedroom villas. The Deluxe Villas are located at:

  • Animal Kingdom Villas at Jambo House

  • Animal Kingdom Villas at Kidani Village

  • Bay Lake Tower

  • Beach Club Villas

  • BoardWalk Villas

  • Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

  • Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

  • Old Key West Resort

  • Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

  • Riviera Resort

  • Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

  • The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian

Depending on how big of a share the DVC member owns, Disney allocates points. The more points they have, the more days they can stay in a DVC Villa. Different resorts and rooms have different point values so it will take more points to stay in a two bedroom than it would in a studio. And unlike a traditional timeshare, DVC members don’t have to stay at the same room or resort every time, nor do they have to use their timeshare points in one go, which makes DVC Villas flexible for both the members and you.

When a Disney Vacation Club member is not using their timeshare, they can rent it out through David’s Vacation Club Rentals, which has been renting Disney timeshares since 2005. David’s Vacation Club Rentals matches guests who want to stay at a DVC resort with a DVC owner who has unused points on their timeshare.

The DVC owner will make the reservation in your name, meaning everything will be linked to your Disney account. And you do not have to be a DVC member to book through David’s Vacation Club Rentals. Once you’re in Disney, proof of DVC membership is not required, so you will be able to access all the DVC perks of staying in a DVC Villa as well — like kitchens, larger rooms, and exclusive pools and lounges.

How Much Does David’s Vacation Club Rentals Cost?

Booking with Dave’s Vacation Club Rentals is almost always cheaper than booking the same room through Disney’s main reservation site.

  • When booking within seven months, you will pay $21 per point at all Disney resorts.

  • When booking beyond seven months, you will pay $21 per point at non-premium DVC resorts, which include the Old Key West Resort and Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

  • When booking beyond seven months, you will pay $23 per point at premium DVC resorts, which include the Animal Kingdom Villas at Jambo House, Animal Kingdom Villas at Kidani Village, Bay Lake Tower, Beach Club Villas, BoardWalk Villas, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, Riviera Resort, and The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian.

The total cost of your stay will depend on travel dates, room size, and resort. You can use David’s Vacation Club Rentals’ Cost Calculator to determine the price of your stay.

How To Use David’s Vacation Club Rentals

Booking with David’s Vacation Club Rentals is quite simple, and they do most of the work for you! Simply determine when and where you want to stay and then fill out David’s Vacation Club Rentals’ online reservation form. Follow these steps when you’re ready to fill out the online reservation form.

  1. Log into David’s Vacation Club Rentals and click “Reserve Now.”

  2. Select your check-in and check-out dates.

  3. Select your first choice resort.

  4. Select your first choice room size.

  5. Choose an alternate resort, if you like. This helps if your first choice is fully booked — David’s Vacation Club Rentals will book your resorts in order of choice (you can choose three resorts).

  6. Enter your personal information, including name, contact information, and address.

  7. Select the number of adults and children staying in the room.

  8. Add the personal information for the other guests.

  9. Agree to David’s Vacation Club Rentals’ terms.

  10. Click “Review & Deposit.”

After you’ve filled out your reservation form, you’ll be prompted to pay a deposit of $105. This partial payment will be refunded if David’s Vacation Club Rentals cannot secure a reservation.

Now, David’s Vacation Club Rentals gets to work to secure your rental. If your request is fulfilled, you will receive a confirmation email and pay for your Villa online. The $105 deposit will go toward your room. However, if you do not pay for the reservation in full after your reservation is fulfilled, the $105 will be paid to David’s Vacation Club Rentals with no refund available.

If your request cannot be fulfilled, you will be given an opportunity to book other available rooms and resorts. If you do not wish to book those, your $105 will be returned.

As soon as you pay your final invoice, you will have access to reservation details on the My Disney Experience app. From here, you can purchase a MagicBand and begin planning other aspects of your vacation — like park reservations and dining reservations.

Is David's Vacation Club Rentals Legit?

Yes, David's Vacation Club Rentals is totally legitimate and has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau since 2010.

Why Should You Use David’s Vacation Club Rentals?

First and foremost, it saves you tons of money! Guests can save 30% to 50% by booking on David’s Vacation Club Rentals compared to the price they’d pay for the same room on Disney’s main site.

Additionally, you still get all the same on-property perks as you would if you booked through Disney’s site because the reservation is in your name and will be linked to your MagicBand. You’ll also get the extra perks that guests receive from staying at a Deluxe resort, like extended evening hours.

Finally, David’s Vacation Club rentals doesn’t just work with Disney World! You can also book at Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani, the Disney resort in Hawaii.
