Infinity Stone Cocktail: Reality Stone

This drink may just change your reality with how good it is.

To celebrate our Marvel-themed newsletter, we’re making drinks inspired by each of the six Infinity Stones. We found this recipe from Father and Us for an Avengers Reality Stone Crown Royal Cocktail. This recipe uses whiskey, rum, amaretto, cranberry juice and a bit of shimmer dust to achieve the red color of the Reality Stone.

Reality Stone Cocktail

Yields 1 cocktail

Ingredients:

• 1 ounce whiskey

• ½ ounce rum

• 1 ounce amaretto

• 5 ounces cranberry juice

• Shimmer dust (optional, but recommended)

• Red food coloring (optional)

• Cocktail shaker

Instructions:

1. Add 2-3 ice cubes to the cocktail shaker.

2. Combine the whiskey, rum, amaretto and cranberry juice and shake.

3. Stir shimmer dust (and red food coloring, if desired) into shaker.

4. Pour the drink over ice and enjoy!

Takeaway:

The original recipe recommends using Crown Royal whiskey, but I substituted another whiskey I had on hand and it worked just as well. Following the original recipe will yield an orangish-red color drink, but if you’d like the drink to be a brighter red like the color of the Reality Stone, add three drops of red food coloring along with the shimmer dust. The drink is pretty sweet, and doesn’t taste very strong (which is just the way I like it!). This would be a perfect drink for any Marvel-themed event or to enjoy by yourself while watching your favorite Marvel movie!
