What Happened in Season 2, Episode 2 of ‘Loki?’
We’ve found Sylvie, but is that a good thing?
The first episode of Loki’s season two ended with Loki returning to the TVA after fixing his minor time-slipping problem. However, right before he was brought back to the TVA, he found Sylvie, who he’d spent the whole first episode looking for. He isn’t the only one looking for Sylvie, though.
General Dox sent hunters after her and wanted to prune the branched timelines along the way. The first episode ended with Sylvie entering a timeline in Oklahoma, which we assume is where she stayed. So, how does episode two pick up? Here’s everything that you need to know about the second episode of Loki season two.

What Happened in “Loki” Season 2, Episode 2 “Breaking Brad?”
Loki and Mobius are still trying to find Sylvie, so they go to the source they know will have information: Brad, a hunter whom General Dox sent after Sylvie. Brad is living a life in London where he is a famous actor — Loki and Mobius capture him and bring him back to the TVA as a prisoner. There, they torture him until he gives them the information he knows about Sylvie — that she’s living in an Oklahoma timeline in the ‘80s.
Loki, Mobius, and Brad go to Oklahoma where Sylvie is working at the McDonald’s she stumbled into in episode one. There’s a pretty tense reunion between Sylvie and Loki — because, as you’ll recall, they kissed in the season one finale, but then Sylvie threw Loki back through a time door to the TVA so she could kill He Who Remains, which Loki was trying to prevent. So, it’s safe to say, they’re not on the best terms.
Loki wants to know why Sylvie was in the future TVA that he’d time-slipped to in episode one, but because it hasn’t actually happened yet, Sylvie, obviously, doesn’t know either.
During this reunion, Brad also decides to tell Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie that General Dox is planning on bombing the branched timelines to protect the Sacred Timeline. Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie go to General Dox’s secret warehouse and team up to stop the rogue hunters. However, not before they’re able to prune a lot of branched timelines. Sylvie angrily goes back to her Oklahoma timeline, leaving Loki at the TVA watching the branched timelines disappear.
Additionally, while all of this is happening, there’s a subplot between OB, Hunter B-15, and Casey who are trying to find Renslayer and also fix the broken Time Loom. OB realizes that to fix the Time Loom, they need the help of the person who made it — He Who Remains. However, He Who Remains is dead, and the only way to find his Variants is with the help of Miss Minutes — who has gone rogue and is helping Renslayer. However, as Sylvie leaves the TVA at the end of the episode, Casey gets a hit from Renslayer’s TemPad, so they might be able to find her and get Miss Minutes back.
The question remains, though, where do we go from here with Loki and Sylvie? Why is she at the future TVA? And how does He Who Remains’ Variants fit into the story? Hopefully, we’ll get some more clarity in episode three.
