Food Review: Frozen Pineapple Dole Whip Margarita

A delicious, refreshing drink that will give you all the Adventureland vibes

Happy Dole Whip Day! To celebrate this newly-announced “holiday,” we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share this EatingWell recipe for a Dole Whip-Inspired Frozen Pineapple Margarita.

Frozen Pineapple Dole Whip Margarita

Yields 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks

  • 1 cup lime or lemon sorbet

  • 4 ounces tequila, preferably chilled

  • Lime wedges for garnish (optional)

  • Salt for rim (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place pineapple, sorbet and tequila in a blender

  2. Blend until smooth

  3. Divide among four glasses and serve with lime wedges, if desired

  4. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Takeaway:

I had very high hopes for this recipe as pineapple Dole Whip is my absolute favorite Disney snack. And let me tell you, this recipe is delicious and did NOT disappoint. I did make a few changes. Surprisingly, lime sorbet was impossible to find so I used lemon sorbet. While I was looking for the lime sorbet, I stumbled upon pineapple sherbet and it looked too good not to buy. So I threw a few scoops of that in there as well, *chefs kiss. This is a recipe I’ll be sure to hold on to for the hot summer days when I’m missing Disney World.
